Cultivation Assistant
Overview
Job type: Full-Time or part-time
Location: Bowdoinham/Richmond, Maine area
Shift: 3-5 days per week*
*We are flexible with daily start and end times and can collaborate to determine the best schedule for you!
Compensation: $15-$25 per hour depending on experience
Travel requirements: Ability to commute to and from Bowdoinham/Richmond, Maine area

About the Position
The Cultivation Assistant provides daily care of cannabis plants from cloning to planting to harvest to packaging. They will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants, which includes cloning, transplanting, watering, cleaning/sanitizing, and daily care.
Detailed record keeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations are essential for this position. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Oversee flower rooms and maintain plant health through daily check-ins, evaluation of plant health and happiness, spot watering of plants, canopy management, and making adjustments to room environment or grow process with input from the Cultivation Manager.
Communicate with Cultivation Manager regarding plant health and equipment issues (irrigation, tables, lights, etc.).
Monitor temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels daily according to company standards and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain clean grow rooms and workspaces at all times by regularly sanitizing tools, equipment, and grow rooms to ensure sanitary practices and to keep pests away.
Timely completion of work per schedule and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and process improvement recommendations.
Requirements
Ability to travel to and from the Richmond, Maine area between 2 different grows (indoor and outdoor).
Experience in cannabis cultivation preferred, but not necessary.
The Cultivation Assistant canidate is an adaptable learner, quick on their feet, positive, not afraid to ask questions, and has experience with their hands in the dirt handling plants.
Works efficiently and exhibits strong communication skills — is not afraid to speak up and ask questions when needed to get the job done.
Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with plant health and quality of product.
Ability to produce work quickly, accurately, and independently when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Cannabis plant care knowledge.
Passion for organics and regenerative agriculture.
Active listening and effective verbal and written communication skills.
