Hey y’all! I’m Duncan, the face behind Loud & Local. I grew up here in Maine in a 150 year-old farmhouse and loved to get my hands dirty while helping my parents garden. Growing happy plants is a true passion that has stayed with me into adulthood.

In 2018, I hatched a plan to start my own cannabis farming operation. Soon enough, with the help of some friends, I was mixing up Loud & Local’s first bed of soil, and by Christmas of the same year I was harvesting the very first crop in the building.

My parents were doubtful of my career choice at first, but have become L&L’s biggest supporters.

Over the past 15 years, their worries have gone from “are you selling weed?” to “are you selling enough weed?”

Maine has great cannabis, and I’m fortunate to be surrounded by folks who are just as passionate as I am about cultivating plant medicine. There is nothing more gratifying than patient feedback, and knowing that someone had a better day because of what we grew for them.
